Dating Daan (The Old Path) is a Bible
Exposition on-air program by the Philippine-based
religious organization, MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH OF
GOD INTERNATIONAL. Its primary objective is to
promote and encourage the careful reading and
understanding of the untarnished Gospel of Christ in
the Bible.
Hosted by the only sensible and sincere evangelist,
Bro. Eli Soriano, the program highlights
exposés and the study of truths based on the Bible.
By engaging in truthful and sensible exposition of
the corrupt ways and wicked practices in the
religious world, the program became an eye-opener to
many people who are being unwittingly deceived by
wealth-conscious pastors and preachers.
In 1983, the program jumpstarted as a
30-minute block timer in IBC Channel 13 amidst a
shoe-string budget. With the persistent efforts of
the Church’s presiding ministers and with the
collective support of the members—Ang Dating
Daan was able to withstand more than 20
tumultuous years of baseless criticisms and threats
to its hosts beside head-to-head competition with
other religious programs and mainstream local
television shows in terms of viewership and ratings.
At present, the program is aired live via satellite
through the facilities of UHF Channel UN Television
37 and simultaneously heard in some of the
countries’ most powerful radio stations such as RMN,
DZRH and 100 Radyo Natin stations.
The all-Filipino language program added new segments
using the English medium to cater to
foreign-language speaking viewers. These programs
include “Truth in Focus,” “Biblically
Speaking,” “How Authentic the Bible is,”
and “Bible Guide.”
It also features the use of multi-lingual and
multi-dialectic translations of the Bible, which is
the first and only such service that no other radio
and television religious programs achieved to
undertake and do, all in the service of people and
for the glory of God.
With the advent of computers and internet
technology, the winds of change sided to our favor
because it opened the doors and windows of the world
to “Ang Dating Daan.”
This in turn paved the way for our dedicated 24/7
broadcast with two online media formats: The Old
Path Bible Exposition Online (www.angdatingdaan.org)
and The Old Path TV (www.angdatingdaan.tv)
which uses the web streaming platform.
Ang Dating Daan will remain as the only
undisputed religious program that cares for the
souls and salvation of people worldwide.
