Question:

Will a man still have freewill after the first resurrection?

Answer:

Freewill is a gift of God him to determine whose will man is going to follow. God tests us. And by this process, God will be able to determine if we will merit his approval. In Romans 5:3-4, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope:”

Once God has proven that you are patient and enduring, you will eventually reap hope … hope for eternal life … hope in the eternity to come. God created man, not just to live on this earth. Our existence does not end here. We are a part of His eternal plan. God is eternal that is why His plan is also eternal. Being an eternal God, He will not come up with a short range plan. He wants man to be with Him in eternity.

Now, if you have been resurrected, if you have won God’s approval after having been tested, you will no longer find tribulations. Unlike what He did to Satan, without testing him first, God made him very powerful right away. As a result, he rose against God. But we are different because we are being tried and tested first before we can be considered deserving of His promise.

Free will must be exercised rightfully. God, himself, has freewill. But if you ask if freewill will stay in man, yes, it will stay in man.
