Question:
Is it true that judgment is over when Christ returns? Other preachers are claiming that only those who passed judgment would come and meet with Christ. How true is this?
Answer:
That is not true! In Christ's coming, He will first take with Him those that are saved. Even those who have already died will be risen. After that, Christ, with His saints, will reign for one thousand years. They will reign over the people who were left alive to give them a chance to repent. Only after that one thousand period will judgment take place. After the one thousand year period, Christ will raise up the dead who were not included in the first resurrection, and then they will face the great white throne on judgment day. It is recorded in the book of Revelations 20:5 —
“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”
