ro. Eliseo F. Soriano, who is locally-known
as the only sensible, honest and straightforward
evangelist today, penned and published in 1999 his
first book, Leaving Behind the Fundamental Doctrines
of Christ, as a response then to the dearth in
English version of his discussions in print, radio
and television of the issues of faith and salvation
in our time through the program, Ang Dating
Daan.
In this page-turning book, the author tackled
unequivocally what are these basic principles of
doctrines of Christ which Apostle Paul instructed
the early Christians to leave behind (Hebrews
6:1-2).
These doctrines indicated by Apostle Paul was used
as chapter headings in this book, and fundamentally
these are—to have faith in Jesus, baptisms, laying
on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal
judgment.
Within this scope, the author said his concern to
undertake the publishing of the book aims to address
the basic issues in religion and salvation in our
time.
