Are they Contradictory? |
|
A pleasant day to all! Once again, we will be examining verses of the Bible to find out if they contain contradictions. The first verse that we shall study is I Kings 11:9, which says— “And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice.” This verse tells us that the God of Israel had been seen by King Solomon twice. But the New Testament has a different pronouncement, because John 1:18 says— “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” This time, we are being told that no man had ever seen God at any time. While I Kings 11:9 said that Solomon saw God twice, John 1:18 on the other hand, said that no man has ever seen God at any time. Which between the two verses is correct? Do they contradict each other? Let us ask our teachers, our ministers, our pastors, the priests, and the evangelists. But if they could not give you any explanation, you better ask Brother Eli Soriano. |
