Job

he book of Job recounts the life story of Job, who is considered by the Bible as faultless, God-fearing, a man who held his integrity, and eschewed evil.

We can read in this book how God allowed Satan to take away all of Job’s material wealth, his children’s lives. He was also smote by Satan with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto the crown of his head.

The wife of Job and his friends—Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar—spew him unpleasant words against his faith in God. In spite of all his sufferings and painful experience, Job never disowned God, which in turn, as could be read in the last part of the book, showed how God blessed him.

It is believed by many that Moses wrote this book of Job in the desert of Sinai in 1473 B.C.
