I CAN`T IMAGINE a journey of a thousand miles beginning with a thousand-mile step. When you say a single step, it is a very small beginning compared to the length of a journey that Lao Tzu is trying to tell or impress in this quotation.

The Old Testament (2nd Part)

or the continuation of the studies that we are making of the different parts of the Old Testament, let us to find out, this time, the books that feature stories of the heroes of the Bible.

These accounts could be read in the 6th book of the Old Testament, the Book of JOSHUA, which is believed to have been written in the land of Canaan in 1450 BC.

This book is divided into three parts:

The first part contains the triumph of Israel in the wars that they had fought. This part was further divided into three episodes. The first episode deals with the historic battle of Joshua in the land of Canaan. This includes the destruction of Jericho, which could be read in Chapter 6. On the other hand, the second episode deals with Joshua's victory in the war, when the sun and the moon stopped. And this could be read in Chapter 10.

The second part of the Book of Joshua recounts how Canaan was divided. This could be found from chapters 13 to 22.

And the third part is about the farewell speech of Joshua, including his death, which are contained in chapters 23 and 24.
