he two books of Samuel is the prologue of the Book
of Kings, whereby the story and events about David
and Solomon, the one who replaced him being a king,
were continued here.
The resplendent governance of Solomon is the first
one to be read in the first book of the kings. It
covers chapters 3 to 10.
Do you know that Solomon is the most intelligent
king ever introduced by the bible? It is because in
this book it is read how he was given a wise and
intelligent heart by God, who declared that there
will never be someone like him or will anyone rise
like him after his death.
On the other hand, chapter 11 states how King
Solomon turned his heart from the Lord, when his
wives misled his heart to other gods. It is written
that King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 mistresses.
The following chapters narrate the governance of the
different kings in Judea and Israel.
The first book of the kings is said to have been
written by prophet Jeremiah in Jerusalem and Israel
in 580 B.C.
